Step 1: The Truth. Keep it honest. When we tell the truth, we unleash the forces of positive change. Being in denial, coming up with excuses, rationalizations and untruths may feel like it’s working in the short run, but it comes with a great cost. It limits the possibility of change.

So how do we take some of this knowledge and apply it to our businesses? Well the biggest challenge in business is waiting… are we making the right choices, doing the right things, having the right results and making a profit all at the same time? How do we know if we are on the right track? Well our results are shown in our profit margins, our employees are happy, and bills are paid, all the evidence is revealed that our efforts are paying off. There are times when we have asked for something however, and we get impatient, loose trust that it will come and what happens is we forget to have faith and patience and at times do not recognize it when it does come because it is in a format that we do not see.

2. Be Your Own Cheerleader, Encourage Yourself. Make a list of the most positive things about yourself and review it daily.  Look in the mirror in the morning and repeat to yourself “I am beautiful and unique and everything and everyone is in my life for my greater good”

The legendary Indian sage Milarepa (c. 1052-1135) is said to have used his miraculous siddhis or “psychic powers” to bring devastation to an avaricious landlord who treated his parents poorly. When meditation made its way to the West in the sixties, some of those most interested in its offerings were the special forces of the world’s military. Their uses of attention would be lethal. I raise this issue because in their descriptions of the meditative path, the contemplative traditions of all cultures emphasize the importance of virtue, and for good reason. Ethical conduct is not guaranteed by contemplative practice. Meditation can be use for selfish as well as selfless ends, to win basketball games or turn a greater profit as well as to mitigate suffering. Therefore it is important at the outset to lay the sound ethical foundations for the meditative life. If one does this adequately, then one’s practice serves not only oneself, but others as well.

Here was a woman who showed no outward signs of what most of the world would consider “blessed.”  Her clothes were old and well-worn, she wasn’t particularly pretty by most standards, and she was bordering on morbidly obese.  Yet she was out at the crack of dawn, on a crisp autumn morning in middle Tennessee and, she was clearly celebrating her blessings.

This company donates half their profits to the Free the Children Foundation. All their social media is focused on that task. And they do very well. Me to We is a story of two extraordinary young men who began this mission as children, and they have sparked a fire in tens of thousands of people around the world. This company focuses its efforts on the one foundation, but that foundation supports multiple projects around the world.

Ah. Hmm. Meditation asks me to let go of all tributes to my worthiness, to my ego-based identity. This is more or less the stated goal of every meditation practice I’ve ever learned: to let go of those external and often status-based things that we think make us feel worthy, because they amplify our feelings of unworthiness. Meditation asks me to cease—for 20 minutes, twice each day—being a mom, wife, lover, friend, sociologist, author, speaker, coach, teacher. To give up success, in favor of peace. That’s extremely frightening to people like me.

You know how they say a teacher will come along? Yeah, that is not always true. I never got one in the physical despite prayers and asking. So I just read and went it alone. I always felt like I was floundering.

Now apply patience to the equation and you’re out of the starting blocks! As you become comfortable with having the discipline to make one change you can striving to make more changes. After all, all growth comes from moving forward and getting out of our comfort zone. It’s also very rewarding to sit back and acknowledge how far you’ve come as you see how much discipline you really do have and with each step along the way improving your health.

In 1995, the FDA issued a policy statement saying that international standards such as Codex would supersede U.S. laws governing all food. Under the Central American Free Trade Agreement, which is illegal under current U.S. law, but is legal under international law, the U.S. is required to conform to Codex as it stands on December 31, 2009, unless it creates its own guidelines and gets them approved under the two step process.   1. Some days you won’t want to look in the mirror of your life choices, and experience the veracity of how you are feeling, be it good, ugly, sad or bemuddled; yet when we do step up, we feel better for it.
    Keep it simple at the beginning and just feel out some different techniques.
